Since 2002, I have been working with people who have the common issue of impulse control. Whether it be surrounding food, alcohol, drugs, shopping, or choosing negative and unhealthy relationships, my expertise lies in helping people manage what they think they want and accepting what is real and true for them in their lives.

I’ve received extensive training in both substance abuse (CAS certification) and Eating Disorders (CED-S: Certified Eating Disorder Specialist)

This additional course work has helped expand my understanding of the different ways addictions manifest, along with treatment options and ways to facilitate a client’s movement towards health.

I’ve served on the SCV-CAMFT Board of Directors as Membership Chair, President Elect, President and Past President. My doctorate degree dissertation focused on weight changes and weight gain with medications used to treat addiction.

What I’m truly passionate about is helping people live their best lives. I do this by guiding individuals to understand why they are where they are, and how to make lasting changes to get to where they want to be.
